But First, Coffee {and Brunch}
Sunday rolled around and things started to simmer down. The day began with brunch at Terra Plata in Capitol Hill.
Rustic vibes got me really excited about the meal ahead. The first thing I saw on the menu was the Cinnamon Bun and we just HAD to order it.
I opted for the roast pork hash and was floored when it came out. IT WAS SO GOOD.
Gina decided on the semolina gnocchi.
Mom ordered the Manchego biscuits and chorizo gravy.
Terra Plata is right next to the new Starbucks Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room...and this early on a Sunday morning, the place was empty, so we ventured in for a cuppa coffee.
But before we entered, we saw the cutest dog!!
The classy black to go cups. You definitely need to go at least once and see it, but I wouldn't make it my regular spot unless I had LOTS of time.
Next on the list was Space Needle, a Seattle classic, especially on a bright, sunny day.
Basicness has been achieved...
We then drove up to Queen Anne Hill to see some views of the city and on to Ballard for Hot Cakes.
I found this little gem in the bathroom (of all places).
The delicious molten chocolate cake, yayyyyyy!!!
After Hot Cakes, we returned to my apartment, grocery shopped, struggled to pack suitcases, said goodbye, and they were off. THANKS FOR A FUN WEEKEND!
