Golden Gardens

As a way to celebrate the end of finals for Winter Quarter, the SQUAD went to Golden Gardens in Ballard for a bonfire and s'mores. We trekked down the insanely steep  stairs and made our way to the beach.

It was a typical gray day in Seattle.

And then we tried to start our fire…

Meanwhile, Hunter got the shot.

"CRYSTAL shield it!"

This is symbolic.

After about 15 minutes another beach goer was kind enough to put us out of our misery and doused our firewood in lighter fluid.

It's like lighting the Olympic flame.

After that failed attempt, these fools went to find marshmallow sticks.

Sharon was a bit more innovative and used firewood to roast.
