Snoqualmie Falls & Dirty Harry's Balcony
The SQUAD was at it again. We hopped in Polly's car at 6 am (yes, that's what we do on our Saturday mornings). Luckily, her car has a DVD player, and we passed the time to Snoqualmie Falls by watching Monster's Inc.
Polly was a soccer mom for the day.
We'd all seen cool pictures at the base of Snoqualmie Falls on Instagram and headed down to the river.
The iconic falls!
I brought along this New Belgium West Coast Slow Ride mug I was sent by @newbelgium_pnw on Instagram! A little bit of home in the PNW.
While we were there, we tried to figure out how to get to the bottom. Hunter and Sidd opted for climbing down...
Aaron, Polly, Sharon, and I decided to watch from a distance.
Well they made it down in one piece.
After the brief trip to Snoqualmie and the steep hill back up to the car, we went over to Dirty Harry's Balcony.
While we were looking for the trailhead, we made our way down to the river and found some rope swings.
And onto the hike!
It was a shorter hike, but ALL uphill. Usually trails level off at some point and then continue up... not this one. It was a steady incline up to the balcony.
The highlight of the hike were the labs at the top.
The view was okay too.
Sidd looking wistful.
Aaron and his orange backpack. (BTW his favorite color is orange).
Hunter looking off into the distance.
Bro photo op.
Polly modeled my hammock off.
Then we decided to find a place for all of us to set up.
We found the perfect spot just off the trail.
Polly peeking over for the camera.
Sharon enjoying the down time.
Relaxing.
A great way to spend the day!
