East Coast // 2014
After a relaxing trip to the Dominican Republic, my family and I embarked on a whirlwind tour of the east coast. This expedition consisted of visiting family and colleges while taking the scenic route. 5 days. 5 states. And a whole lot of humidity.
Pennsylvania
The state where both my parents grew up and the grandparents still reside. I absolutely love visiting because it's a little glimpse into my parent's childhood. There's fun, quirky antiques and everything has a story attached to it. Lolo is still holding onto this 1976 Cadillac. The car is like a boat, massive, but this looks fantastic.
Virginia
Charlottesville to be exact. Home to the University of Virginia, a school Gina was considering for college. The campus was beautiful, designed by Thomas Jefferson, a true renaissance man. My only qualm was that this began the summer of rotundas. The town was quaint and we had fun exploring the local flavors.
Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania is the homeland, and where there is a home, there is food. I am unbelievably lucky, and come from two cultures that place value on food and family. When we stopped by for a visit, Nana whipped up some strawberry pie that was to die for.
